For the 13th consecutive year, the city of Richmond partnered with eBridge for its annual road salt contract using reverse auction technology. Four qualified suppliers collectively placed 154 lowering bids, with 86 first-place takeovers during the live auction. Despite a challenging winter season, the final pricing came in below projections, providing valuable savings for the city.

During The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) 2025 Cooperative Online Reverse Salt Auction, four vendors engaged in a live bidding event, collectively lowering their bids 390 times to offer KLC competitive pricing.
December 3, 2024 | PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA
Pittsburgh Water partnered with eBridge Procurement to run a reverse auction for the purchase of Sodium Permanganate 20% and Phosphoric Acid water chemicals. Pittsburgh Water received 245 lowering bids with hundreds of first-place takeovers during the reverse auction. After more than an hour of live vendor bidding, the final bid price was a 37.38% reduction from previous pricing.
City of Bloomington Utilities, IN Contains Costs on Water Treatment Chemicals with Reverse Auction

For more than a decade, CBU has partnered with eBridge Procurement to retain high quality while keeping costs under control on their water treatment chemical purchases. After an hour and nine minutes of live bidding, the reverse auction concluded with over 833 lowering bids, 212 first-place takeovers and a 13.66% reduction from previous pricing.
