eBridge hosted a water & wastewater treatment chemicals reverse auction for a city in Illinois. Three vendors participated in the bid for two water treatment chemicals. The vendor activity lasted for 63 minutes, and resulted in 178 lowering bids. eBridge continues to be the leader in reverse auction services for water treatment facilities.

Vendors spent 63 minutes placing 178 lowering bids during the live competitive bidding environment. The heightened vendor activity allowed the city to receive bids as close to current market level pricing as possible. 

Since the first-place vendor changed 79 times during the reverse auction, the city saw a 0.42% difference in bid amounts from the 1st and 2nd place vendors. eBridge considers any reverse auction a success when this number is below 2%.
