eBridge Procurement hosted a reverse auction for a water treatment facility in the State of Florida. Six vendors participated in the bid for 3 chemical line items resulting in over 350+ lowering bids. The heightened vendor activity allowed the Water Authority to receive pricing at the current market level pricing.

The water treatment chemicals put out to bid in this reverse auction included Ammonium Sulfate, Sulfuric Acid, and Aluminum Sulfate. 

The reverse auction lasted for 1 hour and 8 minutes. During this bidding period, the first place vendor changed 78 times, resulting in 289 time extensions. These reverse auction stats are the reason why the smallest difference between the first and second place vendors was just 0.0200%.
