eBridge hosted a road salt reverse auction for a county in the State of Ohio. Three vendors participated in the bid. The increased vendor activity resulted in over 500+ lowering bids, which allowed the city to find current market pricing. eBridge continues to be the leader in reverse auction services for road salt bids.

The reverse auction lasted for 21 minutes, and the deadline for bids was extended 25 times. These statistics prove the power of reverse auction to get vendors to provide their true "best" pricing for line items. As a result, the lowest difference between a 1st and 2nd place vendor was 0.18% (we consider anything under 2% a successful reverse auction).
