eBridge Procurement hosted a reverse auction event in the state of Arkansas for Water Treatment Chemicals. 6 vendors participated in the bid, resulting in over 330+ lowering bids. eBridge continues to create competitive bid environments for water utilities across the United States.

The chemicals involved in the reverse auction event included: Hydrofluosilicic Acid 23%, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Bisulfite 40%, Sodium Hydroxide 25%, Hydrogen Peroxide 35%, Polyaluminum Chloride, Aluminum Chlorohydrate, and Rare Earth Chloride.

This reverse auction event lasted for 44 minutes, which allowed the city to receive competitive bids for all line items. Because of the heightened vendor competition, the first-place vendor changed 81 times during the live bidding.

Reverse auction bidding events are the only way for water utilities to achieve this level of vendor competition. No other bid format creates this competitive of a bid environment
