eBridge Procurement hosted a reverse auction event in the state of Indiana for Water Treatment Chemicals. 7 vendors participated in the bid, resulting in over 450+ lowering bids. eBridge continues to create competitive bid environments for water utilities across the United States.

The chemicals involved in the reverse auction event included: Hydrofluosilicic Acid, Chlorine Gas, Sodium Hypochlorite, Bulk CO2, and Poly-Orthophosphate. 

This reverse auction event lasted for 1 hour and 17 minutes, which allowed the city's water utility to receive competitive bids for all 5 line items. Because of the heightened vendor competition, the first-place vendor changed 168 times during the live bidding.

Reverse auction bidding events are the only way for water utilities to achieve this level of vendor competition. No other bid format creates this competitive of a bid environment.
